Those of you who follow my scribblings may recall that the overuse of the word 'awesome' drives me nuts. So I heard a word that would be a good replacement, until it gets overused. English goalkeeper David James, on starting more games than any other keeper in EPL history, said it was a 'massive' day. Nice.
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.

I tried to get Primitive into the same spot as Awesome for a while, but it just didn't catch on. It's original definition just doesn't lend itself to the same aura Awesome holds (overused as it may be...yes I am criminal in this regard).

Massive! I think it works.

Agreed :) Awesome has a certain religiosity beneath its dude-overused-ness. Massive has a scientific, intelligent sound. Bodacious is slightly earthy. Maybe we need Will Ferrell to combine them into a Bushism.
