I know who played the young Marley. But the actor who played the young Scrooge escapes me.


Doh! This is my favorite version of the movie too, but I don't know the answer! I used to have a boss who looked just like Alistair Sim. He was quite stern and most people were intimidated by him, but I just couldn't get past the Scrooge association in my head to be scared (I kept picturing him standing on his head and giggling).

Oh, and just so you know, one of my Christmas books this year was one I added to my wishlist after seeing it on your blog - The 101 Most Influential People Who Never Lived. Looks like a great read!


Oops! Patrick McNee played a young Marley, not the young Scrooge.


George Cole, I believe. This happens to be my absolute favorite version of Christmas Carol. Now excuse me while I go sulk over not being one of the first five to respond to the post about the Case of the Missing Book.
