Hector at the deli is in a much better mood today. His Real Madrid finally won a game convincingly -- 4-0 over Deportivo. He still thinks the team is overpaid and the coach on the way out. But Hector's already in World Cup mode, lining up his top picks. More on that to come. (And note that English team, Reading, will move up to the Premier League for the first time in 135 years! Take heart, Cubs fans!)
re: the World Cup
.........if Hector is Spanish he better think again- Spain always manage to disappoint

Hector is a citizen of the world, but, okay, I believe he was born in Mexico. But yes, Spain and Portugal have been perpetual underachievers in the World Cup, along with England of late.

Hi, Carl,
I understand Reading is led by a couple of Yanks - that first year in the Premiership might make a good tale, if done with the same smarts Harper usually brings to their sports books. Is Dan Coyle free?
Cheers, Ty
