Found the LP online of my college roommate's favorite album - the Blues Magoos' Never Goin' Back to Georgia. Now I just have to track him down! Anyone know Jesse Schachter, circa Stony Brook and Queens?

a beach grows in Brooklyn

Was over at DUMBO late the other afternoon and what did I see, but a teeny pebble-covered beach on the East River! I loved it! The whole area was a slice of paradise under the 2 bridges.

Put on a Joe South LP I had bought in a record store, just to hear Games People Play. A song that still holds up over time. And the next song? Hush!! The Deep Purple song..that South wrote. I didn't know. What a treat!!!

Home sick for a few days, and watched too much bad tv. But did enjoy VH-1's the 80's and the eye-opening Devo version of Satisfaction!

A fun gag, people 'frozen' in place in Grand Central Station. The best part is the guy on the walkie talkie at the end!!
