XM rules

The guys at XM respond to emails, which is great. Just emailed about a song that had just played. Here is Jerry Rubino's response: The Pretenders cover was Robin Danar teaming up with Paul Buchanan of The Blue Nile, on Robin's album Altered States.  Pretty interesting collection of collaborations & covers.

Kudos to the folks at XM for being so responsive. I've had an XM device for a couple of years now and I have to admit that I'm rapidly losing interest in it. Is it me or are they playing way too many ads on their talk stations now? And do I really need the DJ to come in and fill 30 seconds or so between songs? Heck, I'd probably be willing to pay more for them to play one song right after the other with no DJ's at all!

I'm also finding myself more of a fast-forward guy. If they're not playing a song I like there aren't an unlimited number of similar channels, so I give up. On the other hand, if I'm listening to my MP3 player and a song comes on that I don't like, I just press fast-forward and skip to the next song. Ah, the power of the "random" setting and "play all"!
