Whether we admit it or not, we often wear certain t-shirts or baseball caps to say something clever about ourselves - my bookstore t-shirts announce my bookishness - and we just do it for own pleasure. Still, i was getting annoyed no one had anything to say about my Hot Dog Johnny's cap til just yesterday!
Even the Car Guys' pollstar, Marge, would have told you the read the fine print of any political poll, the + or - 3 or 4 percent margin of error. It is NOT a science, people.

Chuck Prophet, the only new musician of the last 10 years who I have totally enjoyed and followed, was on NPR a few weeks back...and now he's on Letterman this coming Wed. eve, Jan. 9!! Chuck has a unique voice, wonderful lyrics, a sense of humor...and man can he play guitar. Try to catch him live, too. (And he has a book coming from Chronicle, last I heard.)
As I curse RoadRunner for almost complete imcompetence, I do take a breath and remind me that some things are better. Like cat litter. Really. It's so much better and not disgusting. Clumping technology indeed. Good reading over your coffee? Sorry!
