the clip of Chuck on Letterman!

Not my favorite song from Soap and Water but still pretty great!

hats and shirts

Whether we admit it or not, we often wear certain t-shirts or baseball caps to say something clever about ourselves - my bookstore t-shirts announce my bookishness - and we just do it for own pleasure. Still, i was getting annoyed no one had anything to say about my Hot Dog Johnny's cap til just yesterday!

Marge Inoverror

Even the Car Guys' pollstar, Marge, would have told you the read the fine print of any political poll, the + or - 3 or 4 percent margin of error. It is NOT a science, people.

don't miss Chuck on TV!!!!!!!!!!

Chuck Prophet, the only new musician of the last 10 years who I have totally enjoyed and followed, was on NPR a few weeks back...and now he's on Letterman this coming Wed. eve, Jan. 9!!  Chuck has a unique voice, wonderful lyrics, a sense of humor...and man can he play guitar. Try to catch him live, too. (And he has a book coming from Chronicle, last I heard.)

better and worse

your favorite musicians coming near you

My favorite email each week, and sometimes several times a week, is the one from Pollstar, letting me know if one of my favorite singers or groups has booked a new date. It's free; sign up here.
