Gone, Baby, Gone

The success of Gone, Baby, Gone has readers going to read the book, which hit at # 8 on the NYT list, and also back for Lehane's previous Kenzie books: DARKNESS, TAKE MY HAND, DRINK BEFORE THE WAR , PRAYERS FOR RAIN and SACRED.

I discovered Dennis Lehane several years ago when I was a rep for Morrow. I am a long standing noir mystery reader and after reading his first book I read all the others in quick sucession. I would highly recommend him to anyone who likes Michael Connelly or George Pelacanos. Start with the Kenzie-Gennaro series but be sure to read the stand alone titles like "Mystic River" and "Shutter Island" too.

I love Dennis Lehane! I've have read all of his books. I wish he would write more Kenzie-Gennaro. I agree with Patrick that Mystic River and Shutter Island were fantastic as well. I read Shutter Island in one sitting during an ice storm when I had no power... but I did have my book and a flashlight!
