blads
Okay, a quiz. But don’t post a comment; email me. I’ll send out as many books as correct answers vs. one smarty pants going on early and giving it away.
I have found that publishing veterans of 15, 25 and more years don’t know the answer to this one: What does the acronym ‘blad’ stand for?
Everyone who even tries an answer will get a copy of my fave rave, Lizzie’s War.

Okay, I'm late on this -- thanks, Carl for the heads up on the blog, and nice to see you, even briefly, at BEA -- blad is book layout and design. (I think)

Thanks for the copy of LIZZIE. I'm looking forward to it. Tell us some tales from BEA.

Okay, so I'm so late with answer as I tend to read blogs once a week and am just getting back to yours. It's easy to say that I knew it was Basic Layout And Design, when the answer is right there in someone elses comment, but I really did.
Anyway, here's another possible meaning, one publishers would hope for:
Buy Lots And Display
